Hola profesores de español de Virginia Occidental,
The Poster Contest has started! For our first time, we won the National Poster Contest for Middle School category last year! Hope Vernon from Washington Irving Middle School was our winner. I am excited about what this year will bring to West Virginia!
This year’s theme is “Celebrando la diversidad: El español y el portugués”
The Poster contest is an excellent opportunity for our students. It encourages cross-curriculum collaboration, promotes creative thinking, celebrates visual learners, students’ artistic expression, and it is a great way to engage the enthusiasm of our students.
I will be the organizer of the contest in our state. I have added five links to this email: Student Information Form, The Poster Contest Rules (please follow all rules, only the posters that follow the rules are the ones that will qualify), National Poster Contest Website, The National Poster Contest 2020 Winners, and a flyer to promote the contest among your students.
The deadline for the West Virginia Chapter will be Wednesday, March 17th ( I need to have all posters by this date).
Winner posters will be chosen by a committee on Thursday, March 25th, and mailed on Friday, March 26th to the National Poster Contest.
Prizes: first place $40, second place $25, and $15 for third place.
